  As a graduate of The University of Maryland with a degree in Interior Design and over 25 years combined experience in commercial design, space planning, home renovations, and residential staging, I bring a different perspective and unique portfolio to the real estate transaction. I have an eye for detail and project management background that allows me to guide you, my client, through every aspect of your home buying and selling journey. Most people describe me as a multitasker, with an easy-going sense of humor, who is honest and filled with integrity in all that I do.   I’m totally excited to be a part of the Brook-Owen Real Estate team! I’m new to B.O.R.E. (4/2019) but not new to the Real Estate industry. I have over 10 years experience serving clients throughout the entire property sale and purchase process. I easily connect with people, fostering a relaxed, trusting and supportive relationship throughout the transaction process. Due to the ever changing nature of Real Estate business practices, laws, and markets, Continuing Education is mandatory. My clients are best served by my attendance at workshops, Continuing Education courses, and webinars. Perpetual learning allows me to serve my clients confidently, knowing the knowledge I bring to the table is of the most current real estate practices. In addition to Real Estate, I also help the community get fit and healthy! I volunteer as walk leader for the organization, Partnership for a Healthier Carroll County. I’m a certified fitness trainer and Zumba™ Fitness instructor. I’ve also worked in the television industry as a reporter (so if I ask a lot of questions that would be why)! With over 15 years of experience, this never gets old or boring. Each new day, each new client, brings an opportunity to educate and encourage… I view this as a calling. I am proud to have been the 2015-2016 President. I didn’t stop there, I am also involved at the state and national levels, and most recently was elected by my peers to sit on the Maryland Realtor’s Executive Committee for the upcoming 2017-2018 term. There I will represent the voice of local agents and clients in the Carroll , Harford and Howard County areas. What does this mean to my clients? A LOT!   I was born and raised in Carroll County where I was able to enjoy the beauty of my grandparent’s farm, participate in sports at Westminster High School, and be actively involved in Young Life and my church. I spent 6 years in Salisbury, MD where I pursued a career in education. While I loved working with the children and families I was fortunate enough to meet, I decided to return to my roots and pursue a career in real estate. Real estate provided me an opportunity to use my strengths as an educator to assist my clients in one of the greatest learning opportunities they will have. The passion and determination I have for serving the people in my community, as well as this field, helps me meet the needs of each individual on a personal level. I spent nearly 20 years teaching riders, training horses, and traveling the country competing in horse shows and felt I needed a break from life on the road. I got my real estate license and began specializing in buying, renovating, and selling distressed homes. My experience working on these homes provides my real estate clients a high level of confidence, whether they are purchasing a home needing some remodeling, or looking for that first home, or they just want an educated eye helping them through the home buying process.
